Pet Portraits

I will capture the spirit and essence of your four-legged friend in your choice of Watercolour or Pencil.

I'll illustrate everything that makes them, them.

Pet owners, this page is for you. I've had pets all of my life and I completely understand the wish to celebrate and memorialise them forever.

Commission a custom pet portrait, hand-painted or hand-drawn by a professionally trained artist to ensure you get a keepsake that will stand the test of time. Specialising in watercolour and pencil pet portraits, I can portray dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens, and any other beloved friend. I create each piece from your photos to capture your pet's true likeness and personality.

Choose between a pencil drawing and a watercolour painting.  The former captures a quieter feel and a classic, textured look.  The latter allows for an expressive, soft feel that can truly capture the glint in your pet's eye.  I'm happy to help throughout this process so you can choose the best way to express your pet's personality.

Pet Portrait Commission Options

Golden Retriever pet portrait commission painting

Watercolour

Soft, layered, and full of colour.

Watercolour is where your pet's personality really comes alive on the page. I can capture the warmth of their fur, the shine in their eyes, and a sense of movement that feels true to who they are.

Prices start from £95 for size A6

Pencil

Quieter and more intimate.

Pencil work is timeless and it strips things back to light, shadow, and detail. It's a beautiful option if you're after something classic, or if your pet's markings and expression are best told in tone rather than colour.

Prices start from £45 for size A6

ANNE & ALLAN - watercolour portrait of Sandi

We met Alexandra at a market a few years ago.

When our wee dog passed away 18 months ago, we wanted a portrait of her, and the first person we thought of was Alexandra.

She is a very talented artist who listens to what you want, suggests products to use to achieve this, and then, in our opinion, delivers the perfect painting. Our portrait is so 'to life' that it brings our wee dog, Sandi, back to us.

If you are looking for any kind of painting, then your first stop has to be Alexandra!
